Suzanne Lenglen defeated Phyllis Satterthwaite 6–1, 6–1 in the All Comers' Final, and then defeated the reigning champion Dorothea Lambert Chambers 10–8, 4–6, 9–7 in the challenge round to win the ladies' singles tennis title at the 1919 Wimbledon Championships.[1][2]
