Niobe (Argive)
Character in Greek mythology / From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This article is about the daughter of Phoroneus. For other uses, see Niobe (disambiguation).
In Greek mythology, Niobe (Ancient Greek: Νιόβη) was a daughter of Phoroneus and Teledice and the mother by Zeus of Argus, who was the eponym of Argos[1] and sometimes, Pelasgus.[2] She is not to be confused with the more famous Niobe, who was punished for boasting that she had more children than Leto.[3]
