How can I get an award?

An award for contributions. How do I get it?
- There is no prescribed standard, wikipedians give other wikipedians awards because they think they deserve them. Make lots of good contributions and someone may well notice and give you a barnstar. --pgk 18:59, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
Do I deserve a barnstar?
- Sorry but I don't give out awards for people just asking for them. Read again what I said make LOTS of good contributions... You've made 23 edits under this account 9 of them to this your own talk page. The first 8 were fixing up a single sentence, I doubt many will consider your contributions sufficient to make a judgement as to if you deserve any award or not. --pgk 19:08, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
How do you create your own awards?
- Helpme is primarily aimed at helping people build the encyclopedia, although we don't mind answering the occasional question outside that scope (if we can), please stop continually asking about awards. Our primary aim is to build an encyclopedia, awards are a very minor part of what we do here, if you are only interested in making/giving/receiving awards you've probably got the wrong project. Concentrate on making valuable contributions and I'm sure awards will come your way --pgk 19:19, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
{{helpme}} How do you create your own awards?
- For more information on that check out Wikipedia:Barnstars. But I wouldn't worry to much about barnstars. They are more like smiley faces and don't really convey any special rank. ---J.S (T/C) 19:20, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
