The 2006 Women's Hockey Intercontinental Cup was the seventh edition of the women's field hockey tournament. The event was held from 25 April–6 May, in Rome, Italy.[1]

England won the tournament for the second time after defeating South Korea 2–1 in the final. Japan finished in third place, defeating the United States 4–1.[2]
The tournament served as a qualifier for the 2006 FIH World Cup in Madrid, with the top five teams qualifying automatically.[3]
