Summary
DescriptionAerial view of the Santa Monica coastline looking north from Palisades Park circa 1920.jpg |
English: Photograph of an aerial view of the Santa Monica coastline looking north from Palisades Park, ca.1920. Pacific Coast Highway runs from the foreground at left to the distance at right. At right, the steep rocky cliffs of Palisades Park run parallel to the road. There are bushes at the base of the cliffs and an assortment of trees and bushes at the top. There are two paths going up the bluffs at right. To the left of the highway is a line of buildings and beach houses. In the foreground a left is a large sandy section of beach on which several people are playing or bathing. Across the street from this beach, a long line of early-model automobiles is parked. |
