Summary
DescriptionColecoVision-Motherboard-Top.jpg |
English: The motherboard of a ColecoVision gaming console. The ColecoVision runs off of a Zilog Z80A CPU, a Texas Instruments TMS9928A video processor and a Texas Instruments SN76489A sound chip.
The ColecoVision is a second generation gaming console released in 1982 by Coleco Industries. The ColecoVision faced off against the older Atari 2600, and enjoyed moderate success when released due to its higher quality arcade ports. By 1983, however, the video game industry crash greatly hurt all gaming console manufacturers, leading to Coleco Industries bowing out of the gaming industry by 1985. |
