Summary
DescriptionFront entrance to the Wallace Collection, Manchester Square - geograph.org.uk - 1600012.jpg |
English: Front entrance to the Wallace Collection, Manchester Square Lord Hertford was an extremely wealthy collector of (mainly) French art and artifacts, with an eye for exquisite quality. His collection - which legally can neither be sold nor added to - is one of the finest in the land and is equaled only by similar collections in Paris itself. The open courtyard at the rear has recently been fitted with a magnificent glass roof to form a weather-proof enclosure housing a restaurant and 'tea room'. |
