English: Nuclear weapon test Mike (yield 10.4 Mt) on Enewetak Atoll. The test was part of the Operation Ivy. Mike was the first hydrogen bomb ever tested, an experimental device not suitable for use as a weapon.
Suomi: Ydinkoe Mike (räjähdysvoima 10.4 Mt) Enewetak Atollilla. Testi oli osa Operaatio Ivyä. Mike räjäytys oli ensimmäinen oikea vetypommi, jota testattiin. Pommi perustui Teller-Ulam malliin eli jaksoittaiseen säteily imploosioon. Laite oli kokeellinen, eikä se soveltunut asekäyttöön. |
