This map image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with
{{vector version available|new image name}} .
It is recommended to name the SVG file “WApopDist2006.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter. |

This map is highly misleading and erroneous.Examples: No population dots for centres such as Exmouth, Denham, Broome yet dots for unpopulated points all over. Nine population points inland and east of Esperance where there are no population centres. Population point at Useless Loop, Hamelin Pool & Carbla, where there would be less than 100 in total.
- This is a w:dot density map – the dots don't represent population centres with over 1000 people, they represent the centroids of polygons on a choropleth map where each polygon holds 1000 people. That said the map is very outdated, I will update using 2016 data and replace with an SVG (and explain the nature of the map).
