Kaj Aage Gunnar Strand (27 February 1907 ā 31 October 2000) was a Danish astronomer who worked in Denmark and the United States. He was Scientific Director of the U.S. Naval Observatory from 1963 to 1977. He specialized in astrometry, especially work on double stars and stellar distances.[1]
