Now writing this was fun, not to mention educative!! Anyway, I have this image of a War Flag (of the Maldives) with three horizontal bars of blue, white and green and I was wondering if it is relevant to this article. Do let me know your views. Oh, and the article still needs a 'modern use' section, I believe. So if anybody has some free time, please contribute. --Fizan 12:57, 7 September 2005 (UTC)
- There is no reason it (the war flag) cannot be used under sub-section History --Oblivious 03:14, 8 September 2005 (UTC)

Ok...but I have no idea on its origin or meaning. Would be great if somebody knows. By the way, check out the history of the crescent found on the flag. I was suprised to know that it originally had nothing to do with Islam. It was in fact a symbol of an ancient Celtic Goddess (of the Hunt) as described in the early pages of Edward Rutherfurd's Sarum. (Really good book, I am reading it now). --Fizan 05:16, 8 September 2005 (UTC)
