To-do list for John Reed (journalist): edit · history · watch · refresh · Updated 2007-11-17

Here are some tasks awaiting attention:
- Expand : Expand the section, Legacy, and write more about John Reed's impact on society and culture, especially in regards to how he is viewed as a literary journalist back then and now, in order to establish further notability (more input from sources other than biographies and first-hand accounts, such as scholarly, reliable journals). His portrayal in the film, Reds, and how it is similar/differs from the real Reed, can also be expanded.
- Verify : Too much reliance on one source. Could use other secondary sources, such as: John Reed by G. Hicks (1936, rev. 1968); Writers on the Left by D. Aaron (1961); The Lost Revolutionary by D. L. Walker (1967); So Short a Time by B. Gelb (1973); John Reed by T. Hovey (1975); Romantic Revolutionary by R. A. Rosenstone (1975); Six Who Protested by F.C. Giffin (1977); Friend and Lover by V. Gardner (1982); John Reed by D.C. Duke (1987). This article should also cite primary sources, including the letters written to and from Reed and his contemporaries, or from anything written about him by his contemporaries, such as Max Eastman's Heroes I Have Known (1942) or Walter Lippmann's essay, "The Legendary John Reed" (1914).
- Other : Follow the criteria for Good article as much as possible.
