This article is about the life timeline of Lord Alfred Milner, (March 23, 1854 - May 15, 1925), an English statesman and War Cabinet member of Prime Minister Lloyd George's coalition government during World War I. A friend of Georges Clemenceau, Lord Milner persuaded Clemenceau to appoint French General Ferdinand Foch to unite the Western Front in France. This was accomplished at the Doullens Conference, held in France on March 26, 1918. His selection turned the war around and brought it to an early conclusion on November 11, 1918.
