Please do not put the word installed into the Pope Benedict XVI article. It is the wrong word. Popes are never ever installed. They become pope the moment they say "accepto" in the papal conclave. All monarchs, whether elected or hereditary, are enthroned. It is a symbolic ceremony - just like coronations. It is not an installation ceremony (that's why Edward VIII in Britain for example, was king even through he never had a coronation) in the way an inauguration of a president in an installation. In those cases, they take office at their inauguration ceremony. But monarchs take office either the moment their predecessor dies or when they accept the throne in the case of election. Enthroned was carefully selected and put in because it is the correct word to describe the ritualistic symbolic acceptance of their throne. FearÉIREANN(talk) 06:05, 6 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Bugger. Well spotted. It had been linked before to enthronement using the pipe trick but obviously at some stage, either through human error, vandalism or whatever it was linked just to enthroned. I've corrected the error. Many thanks. FearÉIREANN(talk) 06:42, 6 Jun 2005 (UTC)
