Deutsch: Fürst Franz Josef II. verlieh der Gemeinde Vaduz am 26. Juli 1978 anlässlich seines 40. Regierungsjubiläums das neue Gemeindewappen. Es besteht aus einem gevierteten Schild. Das erste und vierte Feld zeigen einen roten Fürstenhut auf silbernem Grund, das zweite und dritte Feld eine Kirchenfahne auf rotem Grund. Der Fürstenhut symbolisiert die landesfürstliche Residenz, die silberne Kirchenfahne erinnert an die Grafen von Werdenberg/Sargans, die 1342 den Grundstein für die Eigenstaatlichkeit des Landes legten. Das Wappen und die Flagge der Gemeinde Vaduz sind geschützt. Jegliche Verwendung bedarf der ausdrücklichen Bewilligung des Gemeinderates. |
