Audit Wales (Welsh: Archwilio Cymru), formerly the Wales Audit Office (WAO, Welsh: Swyddfa Archwilio Cymru),[1] is an independent public body which was established by the Senedd (Welsh Parliament; Welsh: Senedd Cymru, formerly the National Assembly for Wales) on 1 April 2005.
