Faxon Atherton

Faxon Dean Atherton (1815–1877)[2] was an American businessman, trader and landowner; initially successful in Valparaíso, Chile. He became a prominent citizen of San Mateo County, California.[3] The town of Atherton, California is named after him.[4]
