Deutsch: Das konzentrisch organisierte Bild zeigt in der Mitte das von Ornamenten umgebene Schweizerwappen, ausserhalb des Titelkreises die Wappen der Schweizer Kantone und deren Namen.
Umschrift: SCHWEIZERISCHE EIDGENOSSENSCHAFT MDCCCXV Der Wappenkranz ist mittels gotischen Masswerkformen zu einem Quadrat erweitert, als dessen Rahmen die Rückenansichten aller Standesweibel der Schweiz aufgereiht sind. Die Darstellung entspricht (abgesehen vom umschliessenden "Siegelkranz") der von der Tagsatzung am 4. Juli 1815 festgelegten Beschreibung des "Siegels der Eidgenossenschaft".[1]:
Die Kantonswappen entsprechen dem Stand zwischen 1815 und 1833 (altes Neuenburgerwappen; vereinigtes Basel; Fribourg hatte bis 1830 die Standesfarben blau und schwarz, so koloriert für den Weibel, allerdings war das Wappen bereits vor 1830 in schwarz und weiss, und ist hier irrtümlich auch blau koloriert). Dickenmann publizierte Versionen dieses Drucks bis mind. 1851, teilweise entsprechend der politischen Geschehnisse angepasst, nach 1833 (Trennung beider Basel) werden zwei Weibel für Basel dargestellt, nach 1848 das neue Wappen für Neuenburg. |
