James Ignatius O'Rourke McMahon OBE (born 7 July 1980) is a British politician who has served as Member of Parliament (MP) for Oldham West and Royton since 2015.[1] A member of the Labour and Co-operative parties, he has also served as Chair of the Co-operative Party since 2020.
The subject of this article is standing for re-election to the House of Commons of the United Kingdom on 4 July, and has not been an incumbent MP since Parliament was dissolved on 30 May. Some parts of this article may be out of date during this period. |

McMahon was a Councillor from 2003 to 2017, serving as Leader of Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council from 2011 to 2016.[2] He served in the shadow cabinet as Shadow Transport Secretary from 2020 to 2021, and Shadow Environment Secretary from 2021 to 2023.[3]
