Junge Generation (SPÖ)
Austrian youth organisation / From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Young Generation (German: Junge Generation, JG) within the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ) is one of its three departments, alongside Education and Women. Acting as the political voice for SPÖ members aged 18 to 38,[6] every individual within that age range is automatically considered a member of the JG. Established in 1958, amid longstanding tensions with the non-party-affiliated Socialist Youth Austria (SJÖ), the JG was initially intended to bridge the age gap between the SJÖ and SPÖ. However, it has evolved into a party-affiliated parallel-structure to the SJÖ.
