Budkov Kjær has a career high ATP singles ranking of 897 achieved on 8 April 2024.
In March 2024, Budkov Kjær won his first ITF title, which would subsequently lead him to make his debut in the top 1000 of the ATP rankings with a ranking of 897.[1] Being the first Norwegian to do so since Casper Ruud in 2016.
Budkov Kjær represents Norway at the Davis Cup where he has a W/L record of 0–2. He mad his debut in September 2023 against Peru.[2]
At Junior level, Budkov Kjær reached number 3 in the rankings on the ITF Junior Circuit. [3] He also performed Norway's best ever result at a junior grand slam with a semifinal at the 2024 Australian Open[4]
