Pine Knob is a hill located in Independence Township in Oakland County, near Clarkston, Michigan. The hill is classified as a summit.[3] It extends from Waldon Road to the south to Clarkston Road to the north, and from Sashabaw Road to the west to Pine Knob Road to the east.[4] With an elevation of 1,201 feet, Pine Knob is the second-highest ski resort in Southeast Michigan The highest is Alpine Valley Ski Area in White Lake, Michigan.[3] It is home to Pine Knob Ski Resort, Pine Knob Music Theater, Pine Knob Mansion, Pine Knob Golf Club, as well as residential homes.
