Rylsky District

Rylsky District (Russian: Ры́льский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the twenty-eight in Kursk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the west of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,505.02 square kilometers (581.09 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the town of Rylsk.[1] Population: 29,859 (2021 Census);[6] 33,158 (2010 Russian census);[3] 40,714 (2002 Census);[7] 47,012 (1989 Soviet census).[8] The population of Rylsk accounts for 50.5% of the district's total population.[6]
