In January 2023, the Kraken became the first team in NHL history to win all seven games of a road trip.[2] On April 6, the Kraken clinched a playoff berth for the first time in franchise history after a win over the Arizona Coyotes.[3] On April 30, the Kraken won their inaugural playoff series in seven games, upsetting the defending champion Colorado Avalanche.[4] In the Second Round, the Kraken lost to the Dallas Stars in seven games.[5]
