2024 Atlantic hurricane season
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The 2024 Atlantic hurricane season is an ongoing Atlantic hurricane season in the Northern Hemisphere. The season officially began on June 1, and ends on November 30. These dates, adopted by convention, historically describe the period in each year when most subtropical or tropical cyclogenesis occurs in the Atlantic Ocean (over 97%). The National Hurricane Center (NHC) tracked four tropical waves moving between the western coast of Africa and the Caribbean Sea during the week leading up to the start of the season, but no tropical cyclone activity developed.[1] For the second time in three years, there were no pre-season storms.
