Ben Houchen, Baron Houchen of High Leven (born 9 December 1986), is a British Conservative politician who was elected as Mayor of the Tees Valley in May 2017 after winning the 2017 mayoral election, defeating Labour candidate Sue Jeffrey by 2.2 percentage points in the second round. Houchen was re-elected in 2021 and won a third term in 2024.
