- Comment: As of this writing, Jimmy Carter has not died, but has self-reported (and been reported in reliable sources) as entering hospice care, which requires that the patient must in fact be dying. There is no possible BLP violation to have a preparatory article for the death of a person under such a declared circumstance. If you disagree, please open a WP:MFD discussion. - Comment: Further to the above, such a nomination was made at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Draft:Death and state funeral of Jimmy Carter, and the draft was kept by about a three-to-one margin. BD2412 T 04:39, 18 September 2023 (UTC)
Carter had spent over an year in hospice care.[1]
