Deutsch: In der linken Hälfte auf grünem Feld ein silberner Wellenbalken als Versinnbildlichung des Rheinstroms. Der silberne Rhein war Wappen des preußischen Rheinlandes.
Auf der rechten Hälfte in rotem Feld ein springendes silbernes Pferd. Das steigende, silberne Westfalenross wurde vom Herzogtum Westfalen geführt. Es ist dem springenden Sachsenross nachempfunden, da das westfälische Gebiet aus dem Erbe Heinrichs des Löwen, Herzog von Sachsen, stammte. Unten liegt in einer eingebogenen silbernen Spitze eine fünf-blätterige rote Rose mit goldenem Butzen und fünf goldenen Kelchblättern. Die Lippische Rose ist historisch der älteste Bestandteil des Landeswappens; es wurde seit 1218 geführt. |
