The Frelinghuysen family (/ˈfreɪlɪŋˌhaɪsən/;[2] /ˈfriːlɪŋˌhaɪzən/;[3] /ˌfriːlɪŋˈhaɪsən/[4]) is an American political dynasty, primarily based in New Jersey, that first emigrated from The Netherlands in 1720.
