Hyperia is a steel hypercoaster located at Thorpe Park in Chertsey, Surrey, England. Manufactured by Mack Rides, the ride reaches a height of 236 feet (72 m), opening as the tallest roller coaster in the UK on 24 May 2024. It surpassed the previous record holder, The Big One at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, by 23 feet (7.0 m).[2] It was built on the site formerly occupied by Loggers Leap and Rocky Express.[3][4] After only one day of operation, the park announced that Hyperia would be closed until 29 May 2024.
