Madat Guliyev

Colonel-General[1] Madat Gazanfar oglu Guliyev (born 27 September 1958) is the National Hero of Azerbaijan, a martial artist, and a politician serving as Minister of Defense Industry of Azerbaijan from 2019 to 2023. Guliyev previously served as the Chief of State Security Service of The Republic of Azerbaijan (2015-2019), the Head of the Penitentiary Service and the Deputy Minister of Justice (2011-2015). Guliyev has been wounded twice in the line of duty.
