Mawkanin[1] (Burmese: မော့ကနင်; Mon: ကွာန်တၟံကၞေၚ်; also known as Ta Maw Kanin) is a large village in Ye Township in Mawlamyine District in the Mon State of southern Myanmar. Mawkanin is on the coastal plain, about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) east of the town of Lamaing and about 18 mi (29 km) f Ye.[2]
