Moe Aung (Burmese: မိုးအောင်; pronounced [mò áuɴ]) is a Burmese military officer.[1][2] After the 2021 Myanmar coup d'état, Moe Aung was appointed as the commander-in-chief of the Myanmar Navy, succeeding Tin Aung San, who became a member of the State Administration Council (SAC), the military junta.[3][4][5] In January 2024, he was appointed as National Security Advisor on the State Administration Council and Moe Aung's chief of staff Zwe Win Myint became the succeeding commander-in-chief of the Myanmar Navy.[6][7][8][9][10]
