Parede (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈvilɐ ðɐ pɐˈɾeðɨ]) is a former civil parish in the municipality of Cascais, Portugal. In 2013, the parish merged into the new parish Carcavelos e Parede.[1] In 2001 its resident population was approximately 17,830 inhabitants, covering an area of 3.6 km2,[2] west of Lisbon on the coast near the mouth of the Tagus estuary. Parede is a community between the larger towns of Oeiras and Cascais, in the district of Lisbon, along the Linha do Estoril railway line that follows the coast from Lisbon to Estoril and Cascais.
