Pokémon TCG Online was a 2011 video game based on the Pokémon Trading Card Game developed by Dire Wolf Digital, a studio based in Denver, Colorado. The game was available for Microsoft Windows, macOS, iOS and Android.[1] It was originally released in March 2011 under the name of Pokémon Trainer Challenge as a browser-based game.[2]

On 20 September 2021 it was announced that Pokémon Trading Card Game Online would soon be replaced by Pokémon Trading Card Game Live upon release, and would no longer be available to download. Existing players will be able to transfer their account and game data to Pokémon Trading Card Game Live upon release.[3] In November 2021, it was announced that the game would be delayed until 2022.[4] On June 7, 2023 PTCGO officially shut down. Although it shut down, everyone's progress was kept and transferred over to the new game, minus cards from the HG/SS sets.
