An enhanced version titled Samurai Warriors 4-II was released on PC via Steam, Playstation 4 and Playstation Vita. This version features Naomasa Ii as a playable character, an improved Story Mode which focuses on the various characters, Survival Mode, upgrade to action balance, cut-scenes and character development system.
A second enhanced version titled Samurai Warriors 4 DX was released on Nintendo Switch and Playstation 4 in Japan on 2019, and on PC (via Steam) globally with Japanese and English support on 14 May 2024. The deluxe edition contains more than 150 previously released DLC from "SAMURAI WARRIORS 4," including costumes, weapons, customization parts, scenarios, and BGM.
A reboot of the series titled Samurai Warriors 5 was released in June 2021.
