Takestan (Persian: تاكستان)[lower-alpha 1] is a city in the Central District of Takestan County, Qazvin province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district.[4] Takestan has a railway station on the Teheran-Tabriz line. The name Takestan literally means "vineyard."
